Today was daddy's first day back to work, and my first night waking up for the baby all by myself. It was not too hard plus my baby makes it easy once I see his smile. It was also my first weekend back to work. It was busy and a little tiring, but fun to see all the people that I hadn't seen in a while. I missed my little munchkin but I know his grandma was taking good care of him.
I can't believe he is now 7 weeks old and getting chunkier everyday. Although both the hubby and I got home pretty tired we still found time to watch a movie and cuddle. I know we will have to get use to this new routine of us working and not being with baby all day but all we do now is for him :).
Seeing him here next to me sleep is the most amazing feeling and he takes my tiredness away! Momma loves you with all her heart <3

My weekend
My weekend was pretty relaxing; Saturday we headed with the in-laws
got to their house ate dinner and headed to the casino while grandma babysat. Had
a great time unfortunately lost some money but while there I had lots of fun
playing at the slots. When we got home baby was sleeping with grandma, hubby
and I got to sleep all threw the night. We woke up pretty late so I was well
rested and had a lazy Sunday watching movies while baby was taken care of. I’m so
thankful for my mother in law while we are at her house she takes care of
Julian completely and I get to go out with the hubby or just stay home and
relax. Look forward to the weekends when we visit them now lol.
Today was my 6 week check up everything looks good and I will
be ready to start working out. The doctor told me to start off slow so walking,
running then hopefully I can start boot camp again. Then after that I can’t
wait to start going to the mall and buying new clothes and shoes. Thinking of
that motivates me, I want Julian to have a pretty mommy.

Baby's Day Out!
Today was baby's day out we went out to have breakfast then
to the stores came home and watched a movie. We had planned to take the dog out
for a walk but sadly it was too windy (guess I’ll have to wait to use our new
stroller until next time.L) It was nice to go out as a family and experience
how it will be with all 3 of us going out, I can’t wait until he’s a little
older and stays up for longer periods of time so we can take him to other fun places. As we headed out the door it was a little
scary at first because we didn’t know how Julian would react if he would start
crying if he would poop, barf etc lol but he was such a good baby he slept
through most of it and when he did wake up we would carry him and he would be
very chill.
When we are at home Julian is more awake these days and it’s so awesome to see how he explores everything around him. As I type this today he’s with daddy watching TV in the living room. I love to see them together and here my hubby sing the “spider pig” song to him lol.
Oh my two loves they make me so happy. <3J

Work..
I’m not back to work full time but I go in every other Wednesday to do
payroll and to do some bookkeeping, it’s only for a couple of hours but they go
by really quick. It helps me feel like I have another important roll not just
doing house chores. Although I love being a mommy I like to work once in a
while as weird as it may sound.
As the day ends I rock my colicky baby to sleep and I wish I
could take the pain away, I have tried various drops but nothing seems to work.
I will try to make him a chamomile tea and see if that helps, and of course I will
be trying other brands of formula.
When I see him sleeping I experience the most amazing
feeling ever and I get teary eyed to know that I helped create this little
human being. I can’t help but to feel like a proud momma. I love him with all
my heart and feel so blessed everyday I see him. His smile melts my heart!! <3

1 month dinner date
It has already been a month since Julian was born oh how
time flies. My baby is eating a lot and getting chunkier everyday.
Hubby and I took our first dinner date last Friday to
celebrate although baby didn’t come with us (he stayed at grandma’s house) we
are celebrating for him with a couple of beers at Red Lobster lol. Hubby and I needed a little time alone it was great to go out as a couple and talk about how much our baby is growing and how life as parents has changed us. We are such happy parent’s although we don’t get much sleep we enjoy every minute of it.
Julian is now more alert and smiling when we talk to him it’s
the best feeling when he smiles. He has also made a new friend who he has
started to talk to his name is Hampton
and he is the ceiling fan in the bedroom. J

Picture Day for Julian!
Wednesday March 13th Julian got his first professional
pictures taken although they had taken one at the hospital I wanted him to have
those adorable naked baby pictures. The shoot took about 3 hours long. He became
very fussy at one point and I thought we would not be able to continue with
taking his pictures but after he ate and took a nap we got some great
shots.
My Precious baby boy
Sad Days
After a couple of weeks things seemed to be getting better although I was still sore
from the stitches I was feeling much better, very sad that I wasn’t producing
enough milk to fill my baby and I wanted to exclusively breastfeed, but baby formula
had to come to the rescue and help feed my little man. My mom had been staying with me for 2 weeks it was such a
great help I thank my mommy for being with me on those rough days. It was
finally time for her to go home and get some rest herself.
It was a Saturday and I remember waking up a little sad I didn’t
exactly know why I felt that way but I felt like crying sure enough I cried all
day and felt very sad. I knew it was my hormones but I couldn’t help but
feeling the way I felt. Not being able to exclusively breastfeed, going out like
before, seeing my body with all the changes after the baby and no one
visiting that day seemed to hit me all at once.
Thank god late that night my mother in law came over, she immediately
helped with the baby and bathed him. She told me to rest and that she would take
care of him that night. I couldn’t sleep at first I cried thinking she wouldn’t
know how to bathe him or how to prepare his formula. Then I thought to myself
she had 5 kids of her own and they are all grown and healthy she will do just
fine lol. Thanks to my mother in-law I got my much needed rest and days after
that just seemed to be getting better.
New arrival
After 9 months of anticipation it was finally time to meet
my little man. I didn’t know who he would look like but I knew I loved him
already. Pushing him out was a little bit of a challenge, it seemed like he didn’t
want to come out I guess he was too warm and cozy in there. Finally with help
of oxygen and a vacuum he was born on February 1st 2013 at 7:12
pm weighing 6 pounds 14 ounces and 20.5 inches long. Once I saw him I felt so
much love and happiness. Although a little scared because I knew this little
boy would depend on me and I would have someone to take care for a long time to
come.
Bringing him home was exciting and yet very scary because we
didn’t know what to expect or what exactly to do. Hubby's family was home waiting for us to arrive
so it was all a little overwhelming with so many people. I was sore, tired and
emotional all at once, but after a few days everything started to seem to get
better.
After writing this down since Julian got home it semed better to type it up and share my
feelings and my happiness with family and friends, and hoping
some day my little man can read the things I post about him and my journey as a
first time mommy. J
